Fellowship Ministry

What We Believe About Fellowship

One of our deepest convictions as a church is that we are all called to serve each other. That is why the New Testament  is filled with the word's "one another." As a church we are called to:

  • Build up one another (Romans 14:19; 1 Thessalonians 5:11)
  • Care for one another (1 Corinthians 12:25)
  • Serve one another (Galatians 5:13)
  • Bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2)
  • Teach one another (Colossians 3:16)
  • Comfort one another (1 Thessalonians 4:18)
  • Exhort one another (Hebrews 3:13)
  • Show hospitality to one another (1 Peter 4:9)
  • Pray for one another (James 5:16)

And those are just a few examples! Clearly the church is to be a place where we minister to and serve one another. So that is what we emphasize and strive for the Fellowship Ministries listed below.

Community Groups

Community Groups are the core of our Fellowship Ministry. They are open to everyone and we encourage everyone to join one. In these groups we meet every week to practice what we call the 3P's. We believe that as we live out these 3 priorities we will be faithful to God's call to serve one another, and we grow in our relationship with Him.

The 3P's of Community Groups

1. People - we build relationships and support each other

2. Proclamation - we speak God's Word into each other’s lives

3. Prayer - we pray for one another

When and Where We Meet

Our Community Groups have moved online, with one meeting Tuesdays and the other Thursdays at 8:30pm.

What We're Studying

Strating September 7th, 2021

  • Our Tuesday day group will go through Tim Keller's video series The Prodigal God, which looks at one of Jesus' best-loved parables - the Prodigal Son- to illustrate the depth of God's love. If you join this group we will set you up with online access to the videos through the church's Right Now Media account.
  • Our Thursday group will go through David Benner's book The Gift of Being Yourself, which explores the need to know your true self in order to know God deeply. Members are asked to obtain their own copy of the book, however if you have any difficulty doing so or cannot afford a copy contact us and we will make sure you get one. If you join this group you will be expected to read a chapter every week in advance of the meeting. Thankfully the chapters are not long!

Joining a Group

If you would like to learn more about Community Groups or join one please use the contact section at the bottom of the page.

Young Adults

Our Young Adults group meets one Sunday a month to connect, grow together, and most important eat a meal together. The focus of this ministry is on building and maintaining relationships of peer support to help each other step into adulthood. If you would like to learn more about this ministry or join in please contact us using the form at the bottom of the page.

Sandwich Group - Adults

We don't call this Ministry Sandwich Group because that is all we eat. Far from it! We enjoy a wide variety of foods at our meetings. The name Sandwich refers to how this group is for the generation that is sandwiched between caring for children and caring for parents. If you find yourself in this place in your life we would love to have you join us for our monthly meetings where we eat, talk, study and pray together. To learn more about our group or sign up please use the form at the bottom of the page.
